Apple launches Apple Watch Series 4, Nike+ at $399 and up

For every Apple fan, yesterday was a great day as they got to see the new iPhones and the new Apple Watch that was launched at Apple Special Event 2018. Here’s everything you need to know about the ‘Apple Watch Series 4’ and I must say, you’ll love it.

Apple Watch Series 4 introduces 35 percent larger display and perfectly curved edges. Apple has re-engineered the watch faces that you can choose from a plethora of options. The Watch Series 4 sports a completely redesigned speakers made to sound 50% louder than the predecessor. There are basically two variants of Apple Watch Series 4 i.e. a GPS+Cellular and a GPS model while there is a different model available i.e. Apple Watch Series 4 Nike+ model.

The Apple Watch Series sports a 64-bit dual-core S4 processor which is 2x faster than the predecessor S3 processor. Further, the Series 4 features fall detection sensor that sends emergency SOS messages and calls in case if the user falls. It has second-generation heart rate sensor mounted on its backside that sends out notification onto the screen about the pulse and registers abnormal pulses followed by an electrode that brings the capability of having an Electrocardiogram (ECG) on a watch.

Apple stated that it has already received certifications from FDA for that matter. There are the cases available for the Apple Watch Series carved out of quality grade aluminum bearing water resistivity of up to 50 meters that allows the user to swim, play, and more in water without any hassle of water damage.

The GPS model comes at a price tag of $399 while the cellular model fetches up to $499 and will be available for pre-orders on September 14 and the shipment will be available on September 21. Here, Apple has done a great job by reducing the price of its predecessor Apple Watch Series 3 at $279 making it affordable and accessible to a wide audience wanting to buy a state-of-the-art Apple Watch.

When it comes to the features included in both GPS and Cellular models, these watches feature monthly challenges, automatic workout detection, yoga and hiking workouts, pace alerts, cadence alert and up to five metrics available at a glance on the screen. The cellular variant will be available with messages, phone calls, streaming Apple podcasts, Apple Music and will be rolled out with advanced WatchOS 5 touted to launch on September 17.

Apple Watch Series 4 joins hands with Nike to create Series 4 Nike+ model which is better as it gets. It brings a 35 percent larger display than Series 3 and hosts new Nike faces. It has a Nike Sports Loop strap that shines in bright light while there are various other color variants available too such as Space Grey with Anthracite/Black Nike Sports Loop, Silver colored with Summit White Nike Sports loop, and Space Grey with Black Nike Sports Loop.

The Nike+ model features Nike Run Club app that allows users to interact with other runners around the globe. It also has 180 free workouts curated by Nike Master Trainers and more. It is expected to roll out on September 14 on pre-orders while the shipment will be available on September 21.
